Someone who’s interesting is someone who can make other people feel curious and intrigued, and at the same time mix these with highly addictive emotions. Since, in general, emotions are highly addictive, if you can create and recreate these emotions over and over again, you'll be seen as addictive.

 

People won't be able to get enough of you.

 

You will literally be addictive to others!

 

These are the main triggers that activate the interest mechanism in people:

 

Try turning on the TV and you’ll see these everywhere. People are drawn to the news, sitcoms and crime scene investigation shows because they activate interest using a mixture of these triggers.

 

If you can bring these ideas to the table when communicating with others, people will find you interesting.

 

Everyone has their own favorite set of interests.  Someone who’s interested in art and romance might not be that into drama and adventure.

 

But—life has more than one dimension.

 

If you travel to Europe, you come back home with tons of interesting things to talk about—people will be drawn to the danger, the adventure, the romance, and all that goes with your trip.

 

On the other hand, if you do crossword puzzles all day long, what do you bring to the table?  Not a whole lot.

 

So, obviously you can’t cater to absolutely everyone.  A few of these topics probably interest you a little, and there may be one or two that you’re really into.
